COURSE OBJECTIVES
After the completion of the training, the attendant should have knowledge:
a) understanding of the background and the concept of fuel tank safety,
b) how the mechanics can recognise, interpret and handle the improvements in the instructions for continuing airworthiness that have been made or are being made regarding fuel tank systems,
c) awareness of any hazards especially when working on the fuel system, and when the Flammability Reduction System using nitrogen is installed.
TARGET GROUP
Personnel of the CAMO involved in the management and review of the continuing airworthiness of aircraft and personnel of the Part-145 organisation, required to plan, perform supervise, inspect and certify the maintenance of aircraft and fuel system components.
COURSE CONTENT
In accordance with Appendix IV to AMC 145.A.30(e) and Appendix XII to AMC to A.M.A.706 (F)— Fuel Tank Safety Training.
The training program covers the following topics:
Introduction and theoretical background behind the risk of fuel tank safety;
Major accidents related to fuel tank systems
Ignition prevention program initiatives and goals: modifications, airworthiness limitations items and CDCCL
Instructions for continuing airworthiness related to Fuel Tanks Safety
Fuel Tank Safety during maintenance
Recording maintenance actions
COURSE DURATION
It will take you up to 8 hours to get acquainted with educational content
PERIOD OF ACCESS

EXAMINATION
The course is delivered in an interactive format with an end of course 8 multi-choice questions examination. The Pass mark is 75%.
COMPLETION
On successful completion of the course you will receive a certificate of completion by email.
